What is counselling in nature?

Ecotherapy is about being in and with nature as part of a therapeutic process. There is a broad range of approaches that can be described as ecotherapy. What I offer is the opportunity to experience counselling through being outdoors in the landscape and nature, whilst keeping the therapeutic relationship at the forefront of our work together.

Nature can provide a calming, alternative setting. The absence of walls can allow for a sense of spaciousness and freedom, both physically and emotionally.

If this is something that you feel might be helpful, we can think about it together and explore how we might use the experience of being outside to complement the counselling process.
